Zhao Youmei guards her grandmother's old alley dessert shop "Lanshan Chu" (The Fading Light)—her last link to her family. But her peaceful life is shattered by a mandatory acquisition letter from a consortium. To her shock, the person in charge is Zhou Jingbo—"Brother Jing" from high school, who fixed her bike but vanished before graduation. Now, he’s a cold, sharp-dressed elite who says, "Shop renovation is inevitable." Yet late at night, he squats outside the shop eating her taro balls, his eyes hiding a softness he doesn’t even realize. In truth, Zhou Jingbo’s acquisition is to stop a shady businessman from demolishing the alley, but Zhao Youmei sees him as the "executioner" of her home. When ten years of misunderstandings unravel, can they find their old love in the sweet scent of dessert under the fading lights?
