Despondent office worker Lin Mo is supposed to die immediately in an accident per the Book of Life and Death, but a distant relative in the Underworld's special intervention keeps him alive. Since then, he's involuntarily involved in mortal-nether affairs: sorting out the Underworld's missing spirit ledgers, delivering messages for wronged spirits on earth, and disrupting the order of life and death.
