A frustrated Lin Shen, sick of pressure from his failing urban career, returns to his hometown temporarily. Yet he spots many weird signs at home: his parents react unnaturally calmly to his arrival, and an AI robot nearly identical to him in appearance and action is hidden in the study, with a mysterious order to “replace Lin Shen and stay in the hometown”. Lin Shen pretends to be normal to deal with the situation while investigating the truth, only to find this AI substitution plan hides a hardship his parents never mentioned.
