Strange murders occur one after another in Fengtian Town. Lin Mo, a young new detective, takes over cases and traces all clues to the long-lost "Town Spirit Ritual" in the town. Unexplained symbols are left at missing scenes; seemingly suicidal cases hide a 20-year-old secret—the town lord's daughter died strangely back then, and townspeople covered up the truth with a conspiracy. Lin Mo meets Su Jiu, a mysterious woman claiming to communicate with spirits. They team up to clear the fog, only to find an even bigger plot behind it.
