To escape the frantic entanglement with her ex-lover Fu Chengyu, president of Fu Group, Ruan Qing lies that she is already married to make him give up. But Mr. Fu doesn't believe her and instead launches fancy entanglements—raids at work, tracking her private schedules—to force her to face her feelings. Until he squats at Ruan's door and accidentally sees her welcoming her husband, he realizes his entanglement is a joke, and gets involved in the long-standing grievances between their two families, kicking off a tug-of-war of love and hate.
