Lin Wan, the last Gu master from the Southern Border, travels to North City to retrieve the stolen ancient Gu King. She accidentally crashes a private banquet of Gu Tingshen, a top businessman. The moment they meet, an uncanny familiarity strikes—300 years ago, Gu Tingshen was a fallen general, and Lin Wan was the little girl who saved him with Gu. They were torn apart by the rumor that “Gu masters bring misfortune,” and as Gu Tingshen lay dying, Lin Wan sealed his soul in the Gu King with her life Gu. Now reborn, the Gu King in Gu Tingshen’s body awakens, making him go berserk every full moon—only Lin Wan’s blood can suppress it. The thief of the Gu King is the descendant of the villain who spread the rumor back then, aiming to seize power with the Gu King. Lin Wan must retrieve the Gu King, cure Gu Tingshen’s Gu poison, and confront the unfinished love and hate from their past—can they break free from fate’s Gu web this time?
