Lin Chuan, a corporate drone, has secretly loved his cold, glamorous boss Su Wan for three years—too afraid to even send her a WeChat message. A last-minute business trip lands them on an island controlled by Southeast Asian gangsters: the “cooperation project” Su Wan was investigating is actually a money-laundering front! When chased, Lin Chuan unleashes a hidden “protective instinct” he’s kept for three years: knocking out thugs with a fire extinguisher, shielding Su Wan in his arms while jumping through windows, even taking a knife meant for her. The once untouchable “ice goddess” trembles in his embrace, whispering, “I’m scared.” Lin Chuan realizes he doesn’t just love her face—he loves the tenderness hidden beneath her strong exterior. They flee through the rainforest for three days and nights, evading gangsters while uncovering the company’s internal spy. When the rescue helicopter finally appears, Su Wan grabs his hand and smiles: “This time, I’ll be the one chasing you.”
