Lin Xiaoman, a modern woman, accidentally travels to the Great Qi Dynasty amid a devastating famine and collapses from hunger when she arrives. In crisis, she awakens an ancient beast-taming bloodline, summoning a legion of grain-hoarding beasts: marmots digging storage burrows, giant squirrels carrying sacks, and even hawks fetching wild fruits. But her strange ability draws a village tyrant’s greed, who plots to seize the beasts. Xiaoman must protect the young beasts, secure food for the village before the famine deadline, hide her modern secret, and fight a desperate survival battle as a beast tamer.
