Down-and-out antique apprentice Zhang Xin stumbles upon his grandfather's mysterious notebook, which accidentally launches his global antique trading journey—from a Republic of China porcelain vase in a Paris flea market, to a Thangka in a Tokyo ancient temple, and a bronze mask from an African tribe. Each antique hides scams and secrets. While outwitting greedy merchants, he uncovers the truth about his grandfather's disappearance years ago. He also goes from bickering with archaeologist Su Xiaoyu to fighting side by side, staging an adventure about trust and inheritance in the "game within a game" of antiques.
