Chen Shouyi, an elderly craftsman adhering to century-old iron forging techniques, is trapped in a dilemma: his family forge has no successors and the craft is on the verge of extinction, yet he never gives up inheriting. By chance, he picks up a scrapped intelligent forging AI, thinking it’s useless scrap. However, in repeated simulated forging tests, he finds the AI can not only accurately reproduce craft details but also understand the ingenuity and his hidden emotions in his hammering force. When AI’s rational algorithms collide with the craftsman’s burning obsession, a warm inheritance story linking tradition and future unfolds quietly.
