Bei Piao screenwriter Su Xiaotang, in her quest to restore her grandmother's old Jingyun Dagu (Beijing rhyme drum) script, accidentally stumbles into the family secrets of investment tycoon Lu Mingchuan—who turns out to be the grandson of her grandmother's former lover. When the old romance of two generations collides with the brutal reality of chasing dreams today: Su Xiaotang clings to the “purity” in the script, Lu Mingchuan seeks to unravel his family's old mystery of “betrayal”, while her best friend Lin Xiaoman suddenly betrays her and leaks the script. The strings of Jingyun Dagu hold unspoken regrets, and the lights in the office buildings pull between interest and true heart—Is this “dream” a continuation of old love, or a trap for a new game? When the drumbeat sounds again, can they distinguish the line between dream and reality in the hustle and warmth of the capital?
