Village doctor Lin Yang accidentally inherits the legacy of the Nine-Yang Divine Doctor and an ancient gourd—drop spiritual liquid into it, and it can produce gold, but every use requires an exchange of "goodwill". He wanted to use the gourd to repair the village bridge and save a neighbor with a serious illness, but attracted the covetousness of real estate developer Zhou Hao, who framed him for "using sorcery to cheat money" and tried to seize the gourd. Worse still, Su Xiaowei, the village flower he has a crush on, gradually drifts away because she mistakes him for "greedy". When Zhou Hao steals the gourd and tries to "mass-produce gold", the gourd suddenly fails. Lin Yang then uncovers the truth: the key to the gourd's wealth-generating ability is never the spiritual liquid, but the user's goodwill—if greed arises, the gourd becomes useless.
