Retired criminal policeman Zhou Jianguo always says, "A person lives for dignity—defiance needs to be fixed." From the stubborn tenant who owes rent, the rich kid who bullies the cleaner, to his returnee granddaughter who calls him "outdated", he uses "old-school methods" every time: staking out to catch the tenant's illegal cat, helping the rich kid find his grandma's lost relic, showing his granddaughter photos of his undercover days—each time taming them convincingly. But when the granddaughter brings home an investment banker boyfriend who despises his "rusticity" and tries to split them up, Old Zhou takes out a dusty honor book—hiding a 20-year secret: the man he saved decades ago is exactly the boyfriend's grandfather.
