Zi Lin, an ordinary modern office worker, accidentally gains the ability to shuttle between the present day and the fiery early reform and opening-up era. She initially plans to make easy money by reselling goods across the two worlds, but meets upright and warm-hearted veteran Chen Yunchen during her travels.
