In the coal city, veteran miner Wang Tieshan was wrongfully imprisoned and later died in jail for being framed for stealing mine materials in a mine disaster two decades ago. His daughter Lin Xiao, a journalist, stumbles on irregular accounts of the disaster, uncovers clues to clear her father's name, but is hunted by mysterious forces. She then finds the disaster involves a corruption conspiracy and her father's death was no accident. Under heavy pressure, Lin Xiao teams up with an anonymous whistleblower to dig out the truth buried under the coal mines and restore justice for the wronged.
