A poor mountain village faces extinction due to a severe century-long drought. The "Shelter Gully", once labeled a geological hazard and abandoned, becomes their last hope. Lin Xiaoman, a returning entrepreneur, defies relatives and conservative villagers to survey the gully, convinced it holds underground water. He faces obstacles and rumors during the survey but persists.
