Chen Erzhu is the famous 'rogue' in Sanlitun—he's worked on construction sites, set up street stalls, and loves cracking jokes. Between capitalists trying to destroy the village's roots and a 'foe' demanding justice, Chen Erzhu hides his cynicism: digs out the village chronicle to find anti-Japanese stories about the hall, takes young people to apply for intangible cultural heritage, and even squats outside the developer's door at midnight to film illegal evidence... But on the day the hall is saved, Lin Wanqing clutches a 'leukemia' test sheet and runs away crying...
