Set in a remote mountain village during the 1970s, Lin Ye, a veteran educated youth with superb hunting skills, is honored as the "Hunter King" by villagers. While hunting, he spots Su Xiao, a city educated youth chased by a ferocious wild boar. Instead of using his gun, Lin Ye cleverly uses terrain and the boar's habits to trap it, making the fierce creature spin in circles nonstop and saving Su Xiao.
