Lin Mo, an algorithm engineer, takes over his grandfather’s thousand-acre crab pond to fulfill his last wish, planning to restructure breeding rules with AI. However, he faces strong resistance from Afu, a 30-year experienced crab farmer called “Crab King”, who believes experience is better than cold algorithms. They clash repeatedly for the pond’s survival. Later, Lin Mo finds his grandfather’s mysterious manual, understanding that algorithms are a tool for inheritance. Finally, he combines data and old farmers’ experience, saving the pond, falling in love with Afu’s granddaughter, and uncovering the warm past hidden by his grandfather.
