Yu Yang, a top investment banker, hits rock bottom after a project failure and flees to a small town in southern China to heal. There, he runs into Zhao Muyan—the homestay owner he once wrongfully accused of fraud. This bold “wild girl” who’d smash a beer bottle to chase off hooligans and pour all her savings into renovating an old house becomes the first ray of spring breeze in his dark life. When his workplace rivals’ schemes follow him to the town, and Yu Yang’s ten-year-old childhood trauma is accidentally uncovered, will they choose to hide from reality in the “spring breeze” or stand together to “brave the thorns” and face the past? A mutual healing journey about trust and courage quietly unfolds among the bluestone paths and wooden fences.
