Dong Xingyan, a publishing house editor, receives an anonymous manuscript *Summer Affair*, a regretful love story set in summer. When she tracks down the author listed as "Cheng Qiaosi", she finds him to be a faded singer with amnesia from a car accident, who insists he never wrote the book. Forced to collaborate to solve the mystery, they discover the female lead in the manuscript is Dong Xingyan's late sister—and Cheng Qiaosi was her sister's lover. As the truth emerges: Cheng Qiaosi missed his final goodbye to her sister while saving her, trapped in an "unspoken regret"; Dong Xingyan, having lost her sister, locked herself in "autumn's wait" and dared not love again. When autumn cicadas finally understand the lingering warmth of summer, can they use each other's temperature to melt the "unfinished" in their hearts?
