Lin Xiaoman, a 27-year-old "doormat employee", is used to being scapegoated by her supervisor and working until midnight. Until the news of "terminal illness" hits her like a bolt from the blue—she’s only 27, never seen a seaside sunrise, never confessed to her crush, never lived a day for herself! She snaps, slamming her supervisor’s blame-shifting PPT on the conference table and shouting, "I quit!" From then on, she starts her "countdown life": waiting for sunrise by the sea, picking up her dusty guitar. But she meets Gu Chuan, a doctor who says, "Your report might be wrong," at a convenience store—could this man be the long-awaited "surprise" in her life?
