Lin Xiaochuan, a disciple of a reclusive divine doctor, descends the mountain with his family's inherited medical skills to become a "playful village doctor" in Taohua Village. He cures villagers' strange illnesses with "unorthodox methods", only to be called a "charlatan" by Su Xiaotang, a female doctor from the city. Meanwhile, the old village chief suddenly falls into a critical coma, and the cause is linked to a sealed secret from twenty years ago. As Lin resolves the doubt about "whether his medical skills are real", he goes from bickering with Su to developing feelings for her, while also uncovering the village's hidden past—was his arrival a coincidence of fate, or a deliberate plan by someone?
