Lin Xiaofan, a young man in the mountain village, learned medicine from his grandfather and was mocked as a "quack" by villagers for his "unorthodox remedies". When a strange illness broke out—villagers suffered from high fevers and even the village doctor was helpless—Lin remembered his grandfather’s secret: golden pears from an old tree on the cliff could cure the poison. But picking them meant braving a foggy forest and wild boars, so villagers called him a fraud. Qi Huizhao, a city reporter interviewing in the village, also thought he was seeking attention, leading to constant clashes. As the illness worsened, Qi had to join him. On the way, Lin was injured saving Qi from a wild boar, and she realized his skills were real—the golden pear medicine cured the villagers. However, the village chief wanted to cut the tree for money. Lin revealed his grandfather’s secret: decades ago, his grandfather had saved the village with these pears and guarded the tree with his life. Together, Lin and Qi convinced the villagers to protect the tree, and their mutual disdain turned into love.
