Lin Chen, a recent agricultural university graduate, turns down a high-paying job in a big city to return to his poor hometown and become a practical leader, planning to build an organic vegetable base. His idea is questioned by many villagers—even the old village head thinks he acts on impulse—and some conservative villagers secretly dig up his pilot seedlings to pressure him. Under pressure, Lin Chen persuades every household, invests his own money to replenish seedlings and purchase equipment, and even uses live streaming to help villagers sell vegetables. Finally, he wins trust with tangible achievements, leads the whole village to get rid of poverty and become rich, and finds the value of rooting in his hometown.
