Lin Xiashen, a reserved planetarium guide, has hidden his crush on Su Xiaoman, the vibrant owner of the neighboring dessert shop, for three years. Their paths collide in the midsummer when they’re forced to collaborate on a “starry sky dessert pop-up”. He practices handing her milk tea three times but dares to stay up all night making twenty star-shaped sugar frost for her; she always says “love is trouble” yet secretly records his constellation stories. Just as he gathers the courage to take out the confession letter he’s written a hundred times, he sees her smiling at her phone—is that her first love from studying abroad? Or a long-brewing misunderstanding? In the midsummer breeze, there are unspoken “I like you”s and two hearts that dare not approach but keep drawing closer.
