Lin Xiaoman, a floral assistant, has long treasured a high school promise with her senior Lu Zhiyuan: he would give her self-cultivated ten-color carnations as a graduation gift. But after years of waiting, she only got an unsigned rejection letter, and Lu disappeared without a trace. Five years later, Xiaoman meets Lu, who is with his fiancée, when he orders flowers at her shop. When he takes out a bag of preserved carnation seeds, the dusty truth comes out: his broken promise back then hid a life-or-death hardship. As ten-color carnations bloom, the two face their final choice for their relationship.
