For millennia, the ancient deity Mo Yan has guarded a sandalwood tree by the River of Forgetfulness—it holds the last wisp of his past lover Luo Ning’s soul, who sacrificed herself to save him but was framed for violating heavenly laws. Now the tree has transformed into a young fairy named Tanyin, who has no memory of her past but feels an innate closeness to Mo Yan. Mo Yan hides his identity to protect her while searching for clues to restore her memory, only to uncover a shocking truth: Luo Ning’s sacrifice wasn’t an accident—it was a carefully orchestrated trap.
