Lin Chuan, a hyper-rational Internet product manager, is forced to marry Su Wan, a "metaphysical heir," due to his grandmother's last wish. He despises Su Wan's "feudal superstitions" from the bottom of his heart—complaining about her compass taking up space, scolding her for "deceiving" colleagues by reading their fortunes. Until a project crisis hits: the product Lin Chuan is in charge of suddenly receives mass complaints, and he's on the verge of losing his job. Su Wan uses feng shui to find the "bad luck spot" in his office and even figures out that a competitor is behind the complaints. Just as Lin Chuan starts to change his mind about Su Wan, she suddenly disappears, leaving a note: "I helped you ward off disaster, now it's time to return my things"—so this marriage was never about his grandmother's wish?
