Song Xiaoman, a socially awkward recent graduate, is forced to take over the community's "Sunset Interest Class"—a mess she thinks will be full of difficult elderly people. To her surprise, these "old kids" are all hidden talents: the square dance leader was a former national standard dance champion, the chess-playing uncle is a retired criminal investigation expert, and the calligraphy-writing grandma is an intangible cultural heritage inheritor... Xiaoman goes from slacking off to get social security to being touched by the seniors' warmth. She solves community problems like pet noise and old building elevator installations, even matching Uncle Zhang with his first love. When she wants to quit due to work pressure, the elders plan a "secret operation" that makes her realize she's already part of this big family.
