Lin Xiaoman, an ordinary office worker, was bitten by a stray cat after working overtime and accidentally gained the ability to understand animal language! Since then, she has been surrounded by animals' "crazy requests"—a stray dog wants to expose its owner's affair, an elephant comes to her in a dream looking for its lost calf, and sparrows complain that a restaurant's oil fume ruined their nests. Behind these requests lies a shocking secret: a chemical plant is illegally discharging sewage, causing fish mutations and bird migrations. When Lin Xiaoman is driven to collapse by these "animal language tasks", Gu Ming, an animal protectionist, appears. He suspects her superpower is a hoax and warns her that continuing to interfere will put her in mortal danger. An adventure about "understanding animal language" begins: Can she save the animals while protecting herself? And can she work with Gu Ming to uncover the chemical plant's conspiracy?
