Liu Ang is a down-and-out repairman mocked by peers as a “clumsy screw-turner” — until one day, he suddenly can hear appliances talk. The air conditioner complains about its owner staying up late and forgetting to turn it off, the fridge gripes about expired cans stuffed inside, even the old fan whines about its owner refusing to replace parts. With this “superpower,” he becomes the “appliance神医 (magic doctor)” in the neighborhood — but then he meets the mysterious client Sanshiwen. Her old oven repeats “wait for him to come back” every day, and inside it lies a first love secret Sanshiwen has buried for ten years. Just as Liu Ang tries to help the oven fulfill its wish, he discovers his “superpower” is disappearing……
