Lin Ye, a rural boy determined to leave his poor mountain village through the college entrance exam, picks up a mysterious malfunctioning AI terminal while collecting herbs in the mountains. The AI, as if set with special instructions, insists on leading him onto an "unofficial path"—along the way, he faces misunderstandings from childhood friends, gossip from villagers, and gradually uncovers a hidden secret from the village's ancestors behind the AI. Caught between the AI's destiny-like guidance and his own choices, Lin Ye uncovers the truth step by step, finally realizing that true growth is never about "leaving" but finding his own "road of youth."
