Lin Xiaoman (played by Lili Zai), owner of a handcrafted candy shop, gains fame with her "memory-infused candies"—until acerbic food critic Gu Mo (Ren Yunjie) slams them as "sweet but soulless." To prove herself, Xiaoman bets Gu Mo to work as her clerk for a week. But as they bond, she uncovers his sugar phobia stems from a childhood regret: he missed his grandma's final moments because of a candy.
