Chen Ye, once a top rock singer, withdrew to an old neighborhood like a extinguished wildfire after a concert accident killed his sister (and bandmate), hiding his fragility behind a sharp tongue. Lin Wan, a newly returned children’s book editor, is tasked with finding the author of *Moonlight Forest*—a little-known fairy tale that’s his sister’s unfinished legacy. To fulfill the girl’s wish, Lin Wan forces into Chen Ye’s “ruined world”: when he throws her notebook out the window, she picks it up and dusts it off; when he soaks the manuscript, she squats on the balcony to dry it all night; when he yells until her eyes redden, she still hands him warm milk with a smile: “Your sister said moonlight can warm frozen wildfire.” When the sharp-tongued hermit meets the “unbreakable moonlight,” can the buried guilt and his sister’s unspoken “I don’t blame you” reignite the barren land in his heart as *Moonlight Forest* is completed?
