A harmonious family is torn apart by a million-yuan housing compensation. The elder sister who takes on household chores and cares for their sick mother is plotted by her own younger brother, who tries to embezzle 90% of the money under the pretext of supporting their mother, leaving only a tiny part for her. Their cousin, who has long been helped by the elder sister, pays a sudden visit and brings a secret their mother left years ago, adding suspense to this game of human nature over money. Finally, an old note left by their mother reveals the truth: the brother’s "scheme" is actually to help the elder sister pay off her huge life-saving debt, and the sister’s tolerance has long shown the most genuine affection and responsibility.
