Thirty-year-old Lin Dawei re-enrolled as a repeat student to help his rebellious daughter Lin Xiaoman return to school, only to find his ex-wife Su Xiaotang transferred to the same class to win him back. The three are forced to hide their true “family of three” identity—Xiaoman fears being mocked for “over-the-top parental accompaniment,” Dawei worries Xiaotang will reveal her desire to remarry, and Xiaotang keeps pretending to be a “couple” with Dawei in class.
