In the famine year, after their parents passed away, the younger siblings were on the verge of starvation. The older brother served the only bowl of porridge to them, mixing fine sand into it, claiming he was already full. He did this to spare their worries. The siblings ate contentedly, but the brother fainted from hunger in a dilapidated temple and was rescued by a distant relative. This selfless act led him to accidentally find a keepsake left by his parents, thus starting his journey of finding relatives and surviving.
