Lin Xuan (played by Wang Luojia), a young man living in seclusion in a mountain village, aims to live a quiet life following his late master’s last wish. However, saving Su Wan (played by Yang Jie)——the daughter of a general whose family was massacred——drags him into a double vortex of court treason plots and Jianghu sword manual disputes. When enemies destroy the village and Su Wan is taken to the execution ground, Lin Xuan finally draws the “Guixu Sword” that has been sealed for ten years. One strike cuts through layers of schemes, and also reveals the true feelings that grew between them in adversity. It turns out that what astonishes the world most is never the sword, but the courage to stand against heaven and earth for someone.
