Su Wantang (played by Yuan Yuxuan), a Jianghu assassin, infiltrates Prince Jing’s Mansion as a mute maid to steal the 'Shanhe Scroll'—a treasure hiding secrets of the former dynasty. There, she crosses paths with Gu Zhao (played by Wu Zhuxi), the cold and arrogant Prince Jing: she sets traps to lure him into mechanisms, but he smiles and drinks the poisoned tea she offers; she searches for the scroll at midnight, only to find her favorite honey dates left in the hidden compartment by him. When her identity is exposed and she points a sword at him, he takes out the dagger she’s hidden for three months and whispers, 'I’ve been waiting for you to turn back.' A game of enticement—who fell for whom first?
