Shen Yunyan, a female embroidery artist from the south of the Yangtze River, quits her high-paying design job in the big city to return to her hometown, aiming to find the "Returning Swallow Painting" left by her missing mother. She reopens an embroidery workshop in the declining old alley, where she meets Lin Agu, her childhood sweetheart carpenter who has been silently guarding her. The two work together to study the nearly lost Su embroidery techniques, weaving old stories into silk threads. Along the way, they unexpectedly uncover the secret behind her mother's past and rekindle the deep love settled over years through every stitch, completing a dual homecoming of skills and emotions in the bustling old alley.
