Zhong Yingling, a top showbiz agent, abandons A-list resources to take charge of Gu Shen, a影帝 (best actor) fallen from grace due to a “scandal”. She fights for roles for him, defends him against haters, and pushes him back to the peak step by step—that’s the “glory” she promises him. But no one knows: the “cheating scandal” five years ago involved her sister, who committed suicide due to depression. Her real goal isn’t redemption, but making Gu Shen suffer the pain of falling from the top—that’s the “darkness” hidden behind her kindness. However, when Gu Shen finds her sister’s suicide note, and she uncovers that the “scandal” was a trap set by rivals, Zhong Yingling realizes: the “glory” she gave him has long turned into true affection, and the “darkness” she wanted was never meant for him.
