Lin Chuan, a god of war who has been in seclusion for ten years, descends from the mountain to repay the kindness of Su Wanning's mother—who saved his mother years ago. However, he finds Su Wanning being framed by her fiancé's family to seize her family's property and even facing deadly assassination. Lin Chuan approaches her as an "ordinary bodyguard," helping her expose conspiracies and fight back against enemies while hiding his identity as the "God of War of China." But when the dark forces he defeated in the past track him down, his secret is about to be revealed, and Su Wanning's feelings for him shift from "reliance" to "suspicion." Can they protect each other amid plots and crises? Is this "journey down the mountain" redemption or a new catastrophe?
