Top killer "Yexiao" (played by Gu Yuanzhen) is famous for being "ruthless, unfeeling, and never failing a mission". However, during an assassination of a genius scientist, he accidentally stumbles upon the scientist's sister Su Wan (played by Chang Kexin), who holds a USB drive exposing the crimes of the dark organization "Hive"—the very force that turned him into a "killing machine". To protect the "human warmth" in Su Wan that he had long forgotten, Yexiao breaks the rules for the first time, only to discover his "ruthlessness" is a lie created by the "Hive" through memory tampering. When the killer's knife is turned on his former "creators", and when Su Wan's trust tears apart his "invincible" facade, can the two find the heartbeat of a "human" amid the bloodshed?
