Fresh forensic trace examiner Yin Xin clashes with cold-faced police captain Lin Shen on day one—Lin Shen’s “intuition-driven” style dismisses her “small clues.” But every case’s key turns out to be the coffee-stained button she digs up, cat hair in shoe soles, or unsent emojis from victims. Yin Xin retorts: “Half the credit for your top case-solving rate is mine!” Lin Shen acts annoyed but secretly marks her notebook with sticky notes and leaves her favorite lemon candies during overtime. When a serial criminal targets Yin Xin, Lin Shen panics—his “intuition” has long become “wanting to protect her.” From bickering foes to tacit partners, every solved case is their “half-and-half” effort, and the hidden affection behind investigations slowly emerges.
