Sun Jialing, who fled to a coastal ancient town to escape the summer heat after the college entrance exam, accidentally rents an old Western-style building rumored to be "haunted". The landlord is Tian Jie, a taciturn woodcarver. Late-night cries, old school uniforms in the closet, and the "attic forbidden zone" that Tian Jie always avoids make this summer increasingly suffocating—It turns out ten years ago, Tian Jie’s sister fell to her death from the building’s rooftop after being attacked by rumors, and the instigator back then is actually linked to Jialing’s background. When the truth surges like a tide, the two must face the sins of the past while struggling between lies and attraction: Is this summer the start of redemption, or another suffocating cycle?
