Lin Wan, who runs a paper crafts shop on the old street, always smiles while making paper figures. But when Gu Chuan, an investment banker covered in injuries from an evil spirit, stumbles in, her fingers form a spell—and the paper horse she made suddenly comes alive to crush the阴气 (yin energy). As Gu Chuan keeps lingering in the shop under the excuse of “seeking peace,” Lin Wan’s decade-old secret is uncovered: she’s the last heir of an occult clan, hunting her family’s murderer. To his shock, the jade pendant around Gu Chuan’s neck has the same pattern as her clan’s token. When they team up to solve cases like a campus paper figure seeking revenge and a ghost wedding in an old mansion, the truth of the family extermination 20 years ago emerges: the killer is Gu Chuan’s uncle, and the “enemy” Lin Wan’s been looking for is actually Gu’s grandfather who once saved her?
