Yu Xian, an emergency doctor, and Amanda, a photographer, have been in love for five years. On the eve of their engagement, Yu Xian suddenly receives a mission to support the epidemic area. Fearing to drag Amanda down, he leaves a break-up letter and disappears. Amanda, thinking she was abandoned, leaves the country in despair. Three years later, Amanda returns to hold a photography exhibition, where all works are memories of them. She finds Yu Xian’s diary and learns he was infected with a serious illness in the epidemic area and left to spare her pain. When she goes to the hospital where Yu Xian stayed, she’s told he “is no longer here”… But on the exhibition stand, an unsigned photo shows a familiar figure smiling at her?
