Chen Mo, a programmer stuck as a tech drudge at an internet company, suffers credit theft and blame-shifting from his blood-sucking supervisor, plus a looming layoff crisis. After fainting from overwork, he unexpectedly awakens a code system that lets him parse project bugs and restore workplace truths. Meeting Lin Xi, a beautiful front-end developer also targeted by the supervisor, they team up to dig up the supervisor's embezzlement evidence, exposing it publicly at the layoff meeting. Eventually, Chen Mo lands the core project, rises to technical director, and gains a sweet bond forged by their joint fight.
