Lin Chuan, an ordinary Earth office worker, picked up an unconscious 'stray woman' one day—only to discover she's Eve, the empress ruling half the galaxy. She crash-landed on Earth to escape an arranged marriage, but fell for this human who made her ginger tea and shared instant noodles with her in a tiny rental. When Eve pulled out a starship key and asked him to be her 'empress consort' back home, Lin Chuan chickened out: he feared he wasn't worthy of a星际 monarch's life, and more importantly, he didn't want to lose the warmth of Earth's ordinary life. So he lied, 'I don't love you.' But he never expected an alien empress's pride to be larger than the galaxy—Eve activated interstellar transport on the spot, and three days later, ten thousand Galactic warships hovered in Earth's geosynchronous orbit, their laser cannons aimed at his neighborhood! While being interrogated as an 'Earth traitor' by the military, Lin Chuan scrolled through Eve's messages: 'Either come with me, or I'll destroy the planet you cling to.' Just as he was about to give in, Eve's private terminal sent a video: the empress sat on the starship's command chair, throwing away all the Earthly trinkets he'd given her—like the instant noodle fork and plastic hairpin—into the incinerator, yet clutched the glass marble he'd given her tightly, her eyes red from crying. It turned out her 'threat' was just a way to force him to admit that he loved her too.
